A different take on work

Was sent this interesting post yesterday:
http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2006/07/10-reasons-you-should-never-get-a-job

My take on this:
What if working for oneself if just an excitement that I am seeking? Will I be really as passionate about it as I will need to be? I first need to find my passion - then I wont care if I do that in a job or for myself.
Take no 2:
I think I know what my passion is - only I have not encountered much success following it for 7-8 years now. Therefore the need for security is making me hang on to my (admittedly superior, if not perfect) job.

What is your passion, btw?

U've had wonderful opportunities in the past to pursue that passion (if I guess correctly) and getting that so called security u were looking for, yet u rejected that each time opportunity knocked at ur doorstep.
So maybe ur not all that passionate about wot u think is ur passion. Maybe ur looking for something different and more challenging.
Or was it that social conditioning prevented u from accepting that security u got?

the need for security is exaggerated.
unless you challenge your fear of failure and utlimate non-achievement, you will only be climbing ladders to bldgs. you were supposed to climb up to but not really enjoying the whole process of climbing.

it's just a general take on all of us - ppl with a better brand positioning caught up in the strict definition of the positioning.

what is a passion ? according to me it is something unattainable which keeps you going, something challenging which makes it desirable and something enjoyable
which causes a rush of adrenaline.

no one can be passionate about anything for ever and ever if one is evolving and growing. so a child might be passionate about icecream but a grown up finds investing in stocks to be his passion, or maybe a person or an activity.but that too changes with time as soon as one evolves.

how much better to remain in one stage of life and have constant passion.o what bliss to remain a child. that is why the wise people advise do not let the child in you die.how lucky are those who are stuck in a time groove!

So my favourite philosophy is- do not think too much-dimaag pe zyada jor nahin dalne ka ,..go with the flow and take things as they come. Honi ko kon taal sakta hai.and on top is que sera sera- whatever will be will be .

all this just translates into the fact that man is not the only shaper of his destiny.everything is not in our hands .we are just puppets in the hands of the great force commonly referred to as God.

then does it mean that we should be totally passive?idon't think so. one should enjoy the moment and ask the almighty to find us the right path. belief gives a lot of power .taking everything on oneself leads to nothing but misery.

our prayer therefore should be o god help me find what i want. give me peace .give me strength.
let me not take myself too seriously!!!! :)

If you can make it work
then not working for someone
will work out to be
the ideal way of working
